2015 07 - Egmanton Exhibition Press Release

14th September 2015
Retford members joined forces with the church at Egmanton to mount a weekend exhibition of their work. The beautiful printed images of every conceivable kind submitted by members were beautifully set off by the backdrop of the historic church. Digital images were shown on a TV screen, including many taken in the church by members on a group visit. This was a very popular part of the display and one which visitors could enjoy while they drank their tea. Members who were not part of the previous RDPS group visit are looking forward to an opportunity to visit soon with their cameras.

The event was well attended by visitors from near and far and it was rewarding for the church volunteers who worked so hard to produce and serve a lovely vintage tea that many commented on what a lovely community occasion it was. The newly restored parts of the church interior are stunningly beautiful and the work was greatly admired by the visitors.

On Saturday the bells were rung and visitors were unexpectedly treated to music from a live brass band playing in the open air for a party at the Village Hall opposite, which only added to the atmosphere.
